Enrichment & Puppy Daycare

Taking Dog Daycare to the Next Level

Traditional doggie daycare is fun, but we go even further at Wag Central and TownHouse for Dogs & Cats. Whether you have a curious puppy experiencing the world for the first time or an adult dog who thrives on learning new challenges, our specialized daycare programs provide opportunities to grow, explore, and build confidence.

Special Doggie Daycare Programs

Whether your dog joins Wagaloo Structured Enrichment or Pupster Academy, they'll enjoy personalized guidance in a fun, supportive environment where learning always feels fun.

These programs combine supervised play with structured learning experiences led by our experienced trainers. Through enrichment, socialization, confidence-building activities, fitness, and positive reinforcement, every session is designed to help dogs become happier, healthier, and more well-rounded companions.

Pupster Academy: Puppy Daycare in Stratford & Westport

A puppy's first year is one of the most important stages of their life. During these early months, they're constantly learning about the world around them, developing social skills, and building the confidence they'll carry into adulthood. Pupster Academy was created to make the most of this critical window.

Rather than offering playtime alone, our experienced trainers guide puppies through structured socialization, confidence-building activities, foundational training, enrichment exercises, and positive experiences that support healthy emotional and behavioral development.

Every Academy session builds upon previous lessons, allowing puppies to learn at an appropriate pace while having plenty of fun along the way.

Pupster Academy is ideal for families who want to give their puppy every opportunity to grow into a confident, well-mannered companion.

As an added benefit, enrolled families are invited to complimentary monthly Saturday classes in Stratford where they can see their puppy's progress firsthand, ask questions, and continue learning alongside our trainers.

Pupster Academy Requirements

Because safety and health are our highest priorities, we have a few enrollment requirements before your puppy’s first visit.

Before joining Pupster Academy:

  • Schedule a Personality Profile so we can meet your puppy, learn about their temperament, and discuss the program.

  • Puppies must be at least 16 weeks old.

  • Proof of current vaccinations from a licensed veterinarian is required before the first day.

  • Required vaccinations include:

    • Distemper

    • Rabies

    • Bordetella

    • Leptospirosis vaccination (recommended)

    • Canine Influenza Bivalent (recommended)

  • A negative fecal test for ova, parasites, and Giardia is required.

  • Connecticut regulations also require us to maintain a current copy of your dog's town license.

Our team is always happy to help walk you through the enrollment process and answer any questions. We'll make getting started as simple and stress-free as possible.

Wagaloo Structured Enrichment

Some dogs need more than exercise alone. They crave opportunities to solve problems, build confidence, practice new skills, and engage both their minds and bodies. That's exactly why we created Wagaloo Structured Enrichment.

Designed for dogs 18 months and older, Wagaloo bridges the gap between traditional daycare and formal training by blending enrichment, fitness, learning, and play into one thoughtfully structured experience. Every session is guided by our experienced trainers and customized around your dog's personality, confidence level, interests, and goals.

Activities may include:

  • Confidence-building exercises

  • Agility and obstacle work

  • Swimming and treadmill conditioning

  • Puzzle-solving and sensory enrichment

  • Structured games and fitness activities

  • Training reinforcement and skill development

Every dog progresses differently, and that's exactly how we like it. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all routine, we continually adjust activities to keep your pup challenged, engaged, and successful.

By the end of the day, your dog won't simply be tired—they'll be mentally fulfilled, physically satisfied, and excited to come back.

Why Structured Enrichment?

Exercise is important, but mental stimulation is just as essential to your dog's overall wellbeing. Structured enrichment gives dogs opportunities to think, make choices, overcome challenges, and experience new environments in positive ways. These experiences help build resilient, confident dogs while providing healthy outlets for both physical and mental energy. Regular enrichment can help:

Build confidence in shy or cautious dogs

Reduce boredom and unwanted behaviors

Improve focus and problem-solving skills

Encourage healthy physical fitness

Reinforce positive training habits

Strengthen resilience in new situations

Provide healthy mental stimulation alongside exercise

Create a happier, more fulfilled dog
