Training Treats

Do you use the same treats for training, as you do for regular treating? We’ve all been guilty of this, but we recommend choosing a high value treat specifically for training, here’s why—

1. A training treat should ONLY be used for training classes or when you’re specifically working to train your dog, so you can guarantee success every time.

2. A training treat will help shift your dog into training mode.

3. A high-value training treat encourages the dog to work for it!

So what makes a good training treat? It should be small and easy to break up. Most importantly, think simple—one ingredient treats are best, think beef jerky or even banana chips!
